John Lechago began studying screenwriting and shooting scenes with a camcorder. Lechago attended the prestigious art school S.A.I.C. in Chicago, concentrating in film and received his degree in film at the Columbia College Chicago. Once in Los Angeles John had to get work with a corporate video company. A few months later the owner of the company gave John $5,000 and allowed him to use the cameras and office space to make a film, Blood Gnome. Despite being a very low budget movie and being shot in only 12 days, it was distributed in Europe, Asia and North America. Lechago has gone on to direct multiple movies and is currently in the development department of Platinum Studios taking comic books concepts and packaging them for production.
