Starting in the Universal Optical Department, on Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Bladerunner, Star Trek The Motion Picture, Brainstorm. David moved from there to Industrial Light & Magic working Star Wars Return of the Jedi, Star Trek II - Wrath of Khan, Willow. Leaving visual effects, he switched to the live action world working as an assistant cameraman on several television shows, feature films. He reentered visual effects to work on The Hunt For Red October as a motion control operator and continued doing miniatures as a DP for on Dante's Peak, and all three Lord of the Rings. He’s currently directing short films and planing to direct his first feature length film soon.
